This actual release is so perfect that I simply had to explore the whole back catalogue as well! This completely acoustic EP is of course different but it shows where where the knack for dense atmosphere in the regular black metal albums comes from. Today is winter solstice, the darkest night of the year.
We appropriately present Emissary, a sub-project under the banner of Whoredom Rife.
The aim is to display a more low-key side to the band, and to appeal to the listener in a different way. The idea is that both projects can interact with eachother, yet stand on their own.
As the name suggests, Emissary is a solo project on behalf of Whoredom Rife, but with the same names and ideas involved.

So without further ado, let's celebrate reality and the return of the sun.

Tout est une question de perspective. En regardant la pochette d'Algleymi, on se dira : "c'est un constat d'échec de l'humanité face aux puissances cosmiques". Mais le gigantisme de cette silhouette est un signe que Misþyrming veut plutôt s'emparer de cette puissance et le black metal le confirmera très vite. Il est plus maîtrisé, massif et épique. Si le chant est déjà impressionnant, dégageant plus de haine, les guitares sont de leur côté absolument monumentales. Un chef-d'œuvre du genre ! Jordan Vauvert
