Shanti With the second song of this excellent EP, Strid comes to mind when I listen to it, recalling the best battle ever written on sheet music, everything here is excellent, the voice takes you to the darkest battlefield where souls depart to other forms of life, and the rhythmic melodies immerse you in funereal land pronouncing the last goodbye to this unfortunate existence, there are no cracks in these two songs, have been created to be played on our last day within this plane of non-existence Pakt Favorite track: En Lenke Smidd i Blod.

H.L. WHOREDOM RIFE is on heavy rotation since I consciously discovered them with their latest mighty opus "Winds of Wrath". This actual release is so perfect that I simply had to explore the whole back catalogue as well! And it is wise not to miss the EPs as they also contain elite-class examples of rough but atmospheric Norwegian black metal. These two masterpieces for examples spread the same pure essence of black metal which infected me back in the 90s! Favorite track: From Nameless Pagan Graves.

-Little do most people know that Hoest and V. Einride has worked together for nearly a decade, and still to this day are bonded by blood and chained through hearts. It was a natural thing to do this split, aptly named ‘Pakt’, a title they agreed upon whilst touring in South America. At the table a young gentleman named Jose Gabriel Alegría Sabogal found himself drawn towards the project, as he has done nearly all Whoredom Rife artworks to date.

Both bands feature two tracks each, Taake with an exclusive track plus a cover of none other than Sisters of Mercy. Whoredom Rife continues to trample down the classic Norwegian Black Metal-path, delivering two exclusive tracks which will make you taste the Norwegian mountains and fjords through violent Black Metal of the highest order.

Avec Панихида, Батюшка renaît enfin de ses cendres et, bien que désormais seul (ou plus exactement entouré de deux chanteurs), Христофор accomplit un miracle. Il s'inscrit dans la continuité de Литоургиiа avec un black metal orthodoxe qui nous convie ici à une cérémonie dédiée aux morts. Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
